European Herring Gull

Do you love seagulls? I love seagulls. I must have drawn quite a few over the years but I never get bored of watching them. They are crafty birds and they have a thing for chips 🍟
This is Harry, he lives at the Hampstead Heath ponds. He’s rather civilised unlike the ones by the coast.


My bird journal

I met so many birds in London this last trip and I am missing them now that I’m back home. I took so many videos and photos of them that they will keep me company until I see them next. I am also grateful to have met many bird lovers in the area who posts constantly on Instagram so I get to follow the adventures of all my new feathered friends on a daily basis.  The bird lovers of Hampstead heath keep the birds safe, they keep a look out for them, and they feed them in the winter months when there is less food available.  I can’t wait to see them all again but in the meantime I will sketch them into my memory.
