Internal monologues. To talk or not to talk, that is the question.
Some people like to talk about their problems whilst others hide theirs behind a facade. Nobody is entirely transparent whether they choose to share or not.
The problem with verbal communication is that it is not perfect. The listener often misinterprets what is being said because we process information through our own biases.
How often have you asked a question only to be given an answer completely off tangent or the other person jumps in to finish your sentence but gets it completely wrong?
Something to mull over.

Listening and hearing are two very different things and hard enough when face-to-face, but the bane of social media. Perhaps if we could get it right in the “real” world, the virtual world would be easier??

Agreed. We think we know what another is saying, or some/most of us do, but it’s colored by our own personality and life experience. Still, if we don’t talk, we will never learn to listen. Sometimes the cart comes before the horse, eh?

Mulling and mulling? I worked a lot on communication. Human communication is imperfect. Totally. BUT… it is the only channel we have. So we have to use what we have, and make the best of it.
Now, communication can be visual. Love your acrylics. Really do. You master so many techniques and styles, it is impressive. 🙂 Love it.

Sharing of one’s troubles and shortcomings is in my opinion the ultimate generosity- though people are mostly formulating a response without being completely present and attentive to what is being conveyed
