Today’s sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of a Vintage Vita vegetable ghee tin inspired from my recent visit to Orhan Pamuk’s Museum of Innocence in Istanbul.
I have never read the novel which the museum is based on. I just finished Istanbul which is his memoirs as a child. Despite not having read the novel, I coukd still enjoy and appreciate the museum. It can be seen as a personal nostalgic memory of a specific time in Istanbul. All the objects displayed in little windows represent an experience or a feeling which the author curator is conveying to the audience.
Entrance to the museum is free if you bring your own copy of the novel. Otherwise it is 25 turkish lira.

Thank god for old school pen and paper sketchbooks. A good reason to carry on using them x

The good thing about moleskine journals: they don’t commit suicide.
Otherwise we’d deprived of a lot of beauty. Merci Tiffany.
(Ever thought of exposing?)
