Pet Portraits

1000 Tiny Artworks 3rd Edition Group exhibition at Hin Bus Depot, Penang. The exhibition included 100 artists showcasing 10 pieces of 10 x 10cm size artworks, presented anonymously to encourage the public to start collecting art. I chose to expand on my pet portrait series I started during lockdown, so that i could bring it to Penang, my hometown and to showcase these fun works to the public. I call these my Penang animal series. I dressed the animals in historical costumes as a way to explore cultural identity and as a way to connect with the viewer through visual dialogue.

Pet Portrait Fashion makeovers for your fur family

I started this playful series during lockdown as a way to connect with friends from all over the world during the lockdown. These were drawn in my sketchbook using ink pens on paper. This is series 2. (2021) limited to 50 drawings. Commissions for pet portraits in my sketchbook is currently closed.
