I’ve been meaning to post this since Chinese New Year but better late then never. This is my version of the Year of the Snake. My artworks are my way of celebrating my heritage and to share my love of symbols. This painting incorporates several familiar symbols including the lucky no8, the musical treble cleff (because I associate snakes with Indian charmers playing music) and the ouroborous, the ancient symbol of rebirth and eternity.
Size 30.5cm x 25.5cm. Acrylic and Gold pen in canvas.

That looks like it could have been the Irish ☘️ snake 🐍 before Saint Patrick drove it out of Ireland.
