I have been obsessed with these moon flasks. Firstly because they are so pretty, but also because of the name moon flask. They are called moon flasks because of the round shape. Moon flasks were originally made to carry wine for travellers which is another reason I find them fascinating.  They seem to tick all the boxes for things I would love. These colourful Minton moon flasks were made to be decorative for homes.  I would love to own one but the next best thing is drawing one and keeping it in my sketchbook until I turn them into large paintings. My sketchbook is where I keep ideas and a it works like a catalogue of things I love to develop into larger paintings.
