Hi everyone, today’s pet portrait is is of Hugo the sausage dog. He’s my friend’s dog and my god dog. He passed away recently so this drawing is in his memory.
Dogs and animals bring so much joy to me and I hope you have been enjoying this series. 🐶
I’ve been drawing everyday in my sketchbook since lockdown and it has kept me sane and gives me a sense of accomplishment. The act of drawing is therapeutic and healing, similar to meditation as I have to focus and observe and be in the present for the duration of the drawing. Drawing calms me and declutters my mind.
I hope you will be inspired to start your own creative journey. #BulanCovid if you do so I can drop by to take a look
Stay home and stay creative 🌹

Oh, I also really enjoyed the music. It sounds Cantonese influenced like one of my favorite songs by Kelly Chen (You Shi Ji Mo) – i just want to get up and dance! Though I understand not a word! 😂
