Midnight horror botanical drawing

I simply love the name of this tree. I think the name comes from the silhouette of the tree but I could be wrong 🤔

Sketch of the day no 1266 in my moleskine sketchbook is of the midnight horror flower and pod.

These trees are fairly common in Penang. They are easy to spot as well because they are tall and you can see the hanging pods from far.
