Average? Ok. Median in France is about 1600 Euros. But then GDP per capita is 38,000 Euros. Just rechecked. Even so, Malaysia’s performance is very commendable. lemme see the Gini Coefficient. 🙂

Could be. But the results are there: Malaysia’s GDP per capita is not very far from France any more. 🙂
(True, France has been flat for the past ten years…)
