And I suspect it is one of the reasons of Asia’s growth in the past 30-40 years. Which is not happening in other parts.

Maybe. Or it may be a strong sense of tradition. The older I get, the more I realize that “tradition” (so criticized in many corners) is what makes us who we are. Which is basically where we come from. 🙂
And tradition is not at odds with progress. “Fusion” is precisely that: the fusion of tradition with modernity. When you celebrate the jade emperor, you probably have a cell phone in a pocket of your (lovely) traditional dress. (Which suited you perfectly)

We were just slow to open the market
