Wonderful and true (I just checked. Sometimes I don’t to preserve the magic of childhood stories. Sometimes I do) And it is a fact. I also learned that L’arbre du voyageur is a cousin of Strelitiza. (Which I think you painted?) 😉

He told me that the tree stores or produces drinkable water in between the branches. And that a lost and thirsty “voyageur” could hack out the leaves with a machete and access the water and drink it. 🙂
True or not, it is a good story. I will not google “arbre du voyageur”. What if it is a myth? I prefer to keep the story. 😉
