I believe that butterflies carry souls after this experience: The time came for us to euthanize our 15-yr.old dog. We had a traveling vet come and chose a spot under an oak in our backyard. The vet gave her the shots and left us to our final goodbyes. At that time a butterfly came across the yard, encircled us three times and went back the way it came. We saw this butterfly for the next few days around the house, in the garage, on the deck. Nothing like this had happened before or since. I think it was our girl letting us know that all was well.
