I think you would like Gerald Durrel. He was Lawrence Durrell’s (The Alexandria quartet) little brother. Gerald was an animal lover and zoologist. Try to find “My family and other animals”. Hilarious. (And only you would risk her life to fix a fallen bird’s nest) (Well maybe I have on occasions) I think the animals like your garden because they know they are safe. 🙂
There are so many birds here and they do shifts. I was watching a bird yesterday that visited for about an hour. Just drinking water and swimming and then sunbathing to dry off. Simple breathtaking. I have to google it to see what bird is it. And then today I had two monitor lizards that scuttled past me as I stood on a chair to fix a fallen birds nest. It really is like a zoo here.
