Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal are Nyonya peony flowers and dragonfly. My favourite subject. Being from Penang and a Penang based artist, it is important to understand our art history and culture. These flowers symbolize wealth, nobility and love. Porcelaine and ceramic ware were commissioned from China for special occasions such as weddings.
