I love rainy days when I can make friends with nature.
Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of a millipede. Orthomorpha Coarctata
I’m back home in Penang and the rainy weather has brought hundreds of them to the area. I don’t know how they arrived but there are so many crawling everywhere. I do love identifying insects and other wildlife and learning about them.

Beautiful millipede. I always love your sketches of insects and crawly things.

Ok. Rats. Cinammon won’t do. A cat. I know you don’t keep pets, but ever since we brought my father’s cat (after my dad passed away) we have had no mice nor rats.

I’m looking for something that keeps rats away!

My guess would be an ecosystem imbalance somewhere. Their predators were whacked out, and now they invade you. A shame. There must be a “soft” solution. Do you know that cinnamon keeps all ants away? No pesticide.

that’s true! no poison 🙂
