It is one of Humanity’s oldest myths: the Golden Age. As they say in the song, “It ain’t necessarily so…” Newborn mortality before antibiotics was enormous. Medicine has progressed. Considerably. Weapons too, unfortunately. As in many, many things, I believe it is just a matter of finding a balance between maintaining some of the old Good stuff, and embracing the Good new. For instance, we could not have those conversations without the New. 🙂 And I am grateful that we have. Be good. (Or bad if it takes your fancy) 🙂

It means that the old stuff was possibly better? Hmmm…good question to ponder on.

Les choses de nostalgie… C’est joliment dit. I sometimes wonder why “vintage” has so much pull among young people these days. Everybody (I remember my grandparents has always said throughout history “It was better before”. (And not necessarily true) But there is a much stronger pull of Vintage among young people now. My generation would not listen to our parent’s music for instance. Hmmm. Wonder what that means?

Un pédalo? J’adore. You made me go back in time to one first vacations i remember, En Corse. I must have been 6, et il y avait des pédalos. Which we learned to use. Great fun. Terima kasih for the memory.
