Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal: Freshly emerged yellow ladybird. The spots will appear within the hour and the colour could change from yellow to red. I spotted this on my arm in Hyde park. First time I’ve ever seen a ladybird with hardly any spots at all.

Kumbang and Coccinelle went to visit their distant cousin Ladybug. Ladybug was English though of Japanese origin. They had tea on Granary square and decided to change the world… (To be cont’d)

I honestly to not know what it is. I will have to look it up! It’s Kumbang which doesnt have the same ring to it!

Oui, c’est drôle et joli. Coc-cinelle! It has a lift to it. I like lady bird too. What would it be in Malay or in Hokkien?
