The perfect lazy summer drink.
Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of a Pastis water bottle by Ricard. An anise flavoured spirit and aperitif in France.
I remember as a child when I spent my summers in the South of France this was the preferred drink of everyone, just like how the Turks drink Raki but this recent trip I hardly saw it. Tastes and trends change over time. I spotted this bottle at a bar and I was happy that it brought back great memories.

🙂 Here is the cure to goldfish memory: Pastis! 😉 Tchin tchin. Pastis goes with a lot of things, la pétanque, le chant des cigales… De jolies choses.

We both had a unique upbringing. I don’t like anise nor alcohol but the the drink triggers good memories.

PS. I’m not too much into Pastis myself, but you drew a great bottle.
Ps2. You really had a unique upbringing.

You spent your summers in the south of France? (You may have said that before)
Alors pourquoi on se parle en anglais?
