The Oak Tree is revered for its magical healing powers.
Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of an Oak leaf.
Highgate wood in North London has many old oak trees. It’s a beautiful and magical place and is my favourite London park.
It’s London tree week and in celebration of trees all over London, there are interactive installations, tree tours and talks organised by London authority to remind us to appreciate them.

The Brits have always been very creative. And I hadn’t thought about it, but you must certainly easily find your way in the cultural scene. Goes well with your curiosity. 🙂

Thank you Andy. The stairs are amazing. I want to bring home a set and put them on a tree back home! They just strap onto the tree trunk and don’t harm the tree.

Nice sketch and I love the stairs shown in the accompanying pic – I would love to climb them and hug that tree 🙂

Yes I’m enjoying London very much. Information overload. There’s always so many new things and so much going on.

Nice. Again. When one lives in the “South” (as we do…) a simple thing as an oak leaf is quite striking. Actually whenever I go back to Paris, the first thing I look at, on the bus from the airport, are the trees, oaks, willows, etc. with shapes and leaves so different from their tropical cousins.
Hope Life is treating you well in London, mon amie.
