A cute butterfly-in-process.
And Wilde is so right. Fiction is much better than reality. Russian writers in particular have mastered the art. From Tolstoï to Dostoïewski. Dumas’ Comte de Monte-Cristo is a vulgar embezzlement and treason story, but he made it a Greek tragedy. And all the puppets who govern us or pretend to, think they are writing History? (Wandered away a bit, haven’t I?) So let’s try to turn reality into a (nicer) fiction?
Being in a very analytic mood to-day, your caterpillar would be the (drab) reality and the butterfly to come would be the fiction?
(I think I need therapy)
