Happy Friday. Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of a yellow Seaplane I spotted in Auckland, New Zealand when I was there last month. I had a 15 hour stopover on the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Dunedin, New Zealand.

Found it. Just sent it to you by regular “E-Post”. Bulan seems to be on a girls’ night out. I just went up to the highest terrace at my house, and she’s nowhere to be seen. No Bulan Mail tonight.

The adventure is called “Le crabe aux pinces d’or”. Not sure what the english title is. (So you know Tintin? Wow.)

I would love to have been on it. That was my thought as I saw it land. I didn’t know tintins adventures had one.

There is a similar sea-plane (Hydravion) in one of Tintin’s adventures. all yellow.
I’ve always wanted to fly in one of those. Imagine the “landing” on water!
Did you fly in it? no, right? You could have used some of your 15 hours stop-over.
(Now I understand the 30 hours flight)
