I spent the last 3 weeks backpacking around South Island, New Zealand. It is such a beautiful country with fresh clean air and miles and miles of National parks. The scenery changes at every corner from rolling green hills to harsh and wild rocky mountains. At night the skies are clear and filled with stars. The blue skies and blue lakes and sea makes it so easy to wake up to every morning. One thing I did not realise is that there are hardly any animals in New Zealand. There are no dangerous predators insects or reptiles that will eat you except maybe the great white shark if you go too far off into the ocean.
It’s been an awesome start to my New Year. I really enjoyed my break. I am back now…:)

There were so many all passed out on the rocks and in the bushes. They looked hungover!

I love your vacation idea! Backpacking in New Zealand has been on my bucket list for years. I have always imagined it would be fabulous. I am so glad you were able to make the journey and thanks for the photos. Will there be any more photos from your trip?
