Sketch of the day in my monologue art journal is of a Chrysanthemum Flower which is a popular Chinese flower symbolizing Long life.

I’d seen in your post about the distinction between Nyonya (woman) and Baba (man). Now Baba is an extremely oooold word. baba means father in Urdu or Hindi. Went all the way to french: papa. (Love languages) 🙂

Baju is generic for clothes. Peranakan is the overall term for the culture and heritage. NYONYA is the woman and baba is the man but NYONYA can also be interchangeable with Peranakan.
