Exactly. The drainage can’t take certain amount of torrential rain. We ‘re gonna have to break down the terrace, put more and wider drain pipes. A bore. Fortunately there wasn’t too much dammage. Couch(es) got wet, but there due for re-upholstering anyway. The Persian carpets had been stored safely upstairs. 🙂
O no I didn’t know your house was flooded. Hope it wasn’t a complete disaster. It happens here as well in the old town. The drainage system is just not done correctly.
Quite true. Now when I think of all the water that pours down on this city during rainy season (House got flooded last week, did I tell you?) and barely a drop of rain water is recycled. 99% goes to the sewer system. Grrrrr!
