It’s been really hazy in Singapore and Malaysia the past few days from fires in Sumatra in Indonesia. I don’t understand why there is still burning of plantations. Do people never learn? I’m escaping the awful smoke and travelling up North!
Sketch of the day in my Daler Rowney art journal is of Malindo airlines I’m taking from Singaopore to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ok. I thought as much. I’m thinking of a desert island, somewhere. No cars. Just bikes. Maybe horses.

It’s a pollution index

That is bad. But pardon my ignorance: what is “psi”? (Emoticon for puzzled)

And it’s been weeks and the burning has not stopped. Aargh. It was about 200 psi last week. This week has improved a lot. Just below 100

I would have said: Fly safely, but since that was a week ago almost, “welcome home”.
I do agree totally about the burning issue. Just stupid tradition. All over the planet. Farmers think it clears land for planting, all it does is burn the earth. After 2 or 3 years, the land, the earth just becomes infertile, and bam! Burn again.
