
Sketch of the day in my Daler Rowney art journal is the Orchid, Singapore’s National flower.
There are so many varieties of orchids grown here. From white to purple and every colour and size in between.
I am happy to report that Singapore takes their trees and plants seriously.

(Glad that the city of lions take their trees – hugged any? – and flowers seriously)
Reminded me of Sao Paulo in Brazil a few years ago. They have orchids set up on the trees high up in many avenues. beautiful.

This is a lovely picture you drew. I really am glad you mentioned it is Singapore’s flower, too. I like to learn about different countries and love nature, too.

Yes I have killed many an orchid. They are so hard to keep alive. Apparently it’s the light that affects them 😁
