Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of an old wooden Abacus. The original calculator. This used to fascinate me as a child. Many shops used this but it’s something very rarely used these days.

I never learned how to use one, but I remember, still a few years ago, in chinese restaurants, the owner would use it at lightning speed! 🙂
