Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of an old wooden Abacus. The original calculator. This used to fascinate me as a child. Many shops used this but it’s something very rarely used these days.

That is precious! I don’t have one but I remember them so clearly. They used it in the old Chinese medicine shops still 😄

I still have an abacus which my father bought for me (almost half a century ago now that I think about it). Every part is made of bamboo.
