Today’s sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of my DJ friend in Istanbul. I promised I would do a sketch of him and here it is. As I said before, I’m not great at people but I am trying to break out of my comfort zone. I guess I’m a bit apprehensive about drawing people because they may not like my drawing whereas inanimate objects, plants and animals will never object ;p

Well I guess I’m ok with it if I don’t hear them nagging at me all day long and ignorance is bliss 😊

How do you know their inanimate? Maybe they do object but you have yet to understand their ways of objecting! We always think that those with mind and language as the only ones who can form communicative and social elaborations. How do we know this for sure? We’ve treated the natural world as an inorganic substance for so long its become habit, but what if this, too, were a lie? We humans think we’re so exceptional… Let me sing the ways of rocks and bugs and birds… :() haha!

The story will weave itself together when it is ready x

The DJ, the Philosopher, the Waiter at the café… The plot thickens. (I haven’t a clue yet as to how Stewart the seagull fits in this non-existent story)
