Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is a bottle of Yeni Raki, anise flavoured alcoholic drink, made in Turkey by distilling grapes obtained during wine fermentation.
How to drink Yeni Raki?
It is consumed straight in a small glass or with chilled water. It is a must with meze, a selection of cold or hot appetizers like tapas, and is considered Turkey’s national drink. Yeni Raki is one of the most popular brands. You will see people drinking it at dinner in restaurants in Istanbul and around Turkey. Drink in a group, with friends, never alone 🙂

Ah! And before we part for the week-end: the story popped up in my mind! I have the title, the story, a beginning and an unexpected ending. (That isa must) have the characters. Working in dialogues and details in my head as i always do. Once it’s ready in my head i can sit down and write it. Hope to have it on paper/screen before the end of june to submit it to you! 😊👍🔨😎
