Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is an antique Turkish cast iron mailbox with lion design. I have drawn one before with a different design. The other one had a star and crescent moon design.
Greetings from Istanbul. A reminder that letter writing never goes out of style ♡

Love the postbox. What happened to the colours?
Ran out of them?
(And you do have a very neat handwriting!)
(Pages and pages of écriture as a child?)
🙂

Thank you! There are so many different post boxes. Istanbul is the perfect place to be inspired.

I really like this drawing ~ that is the one thing I love seeing in different cities, places that hold onto their history by keeping these great old, historical boxes. Wonderful detail yet again, that lion looks so hard to draw.
