
Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is my favourite Turkish dessert, baklava. It is made with filo pastry and filled with chopped pistachios or walnuts and drizzled with honey. I’m eating my way through Istanbul looking for the best one.

Ooooh that sounds delish! I agree with you on the tartness complimenting the sweetness. She used a very tart cherry and it was just perfect. If I ever attempt to make it myself, I’ll definitely be doing a tart fruit layer.
