Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is the Suleymaniye Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey from from Galata bridge. It is an Ottoman imperial mosque designed by Mimarsinan in the Islamic and Byzantine style. It is the largest mosque in Istanbul. Built in 1558.

As I browse (late) through your weekly selection of daily sketches, one thing strikes me. The wide variety of subjects. From a hipster waiter, to a ceramic heater, to a mosque. That is very nice. It shows a lot about you, how you probably look at everything, not just one subject. Très bien. 🙂 Most people don’t see anything, even under their nose. Merci, and thank you for sharing what you see with us. Bon week-end en Turquie.
