Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is a drawing of Turkish Cay or tea. Drink it without milk in a small tulip shaped glass. It is offered as a sign of friendship and hospitality.
The tea is really strong and it is offered everywhere including shops. I have to pretend to like it without offending the Turks. Sometimes I ask for water which I’m told is ok.

Love your discussion about the friendship offering. Traveling offers infinite ways to make friends… if we understand the context.
