Pera Museum is a beautiful private museum with a great little cafe and gift shop. The highlight today at the Pera Museum in Istanbul is the Alberto Giacometti retrospective set on 2 levels.
There are four more smaller exhibitions worth seeing. Osman Hamdi Bey collection, the art of Healing in Byzantine, intersecting worlds: ambassadors and painters and lastly the adventure of coffee in Kutahya tiles and ceramics.

Giacometti? Wow! I love his work. you are very fortunate to have seen it “in the flesh”. I don’t think I’ve seen more than a couple of his sculptures. And God knows where!
