It was a beautiful sunny day today. We went up the aiguille du midi, the highest point in Chamonix with a spectacular view of Mont Blanc
We went to the top of les grands montets. This is glacier skiing with only black runs all the way down. The queue was an insane 40mins. The views were stunning but I’m not queuing again when there are other runs just as good with less people. I guess it’s one of those places you need to tick off the list.

Im here all week. Today the weather’s bad again. I haven’t even been up yet. Been watching the webcam for the visibility to improve. We skied in fog yesterday. It gave me a headache

Enjoy the snow. The peace of the mountain.
(That one is fierce. One of the friends who climbed Mont-Blanc with me – and where we all nearly died – once told me “The Mountain was gentle, it gave us a slap on the rump and let us go back down alive”)
