sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is classic vintage retro 1975 mini 1275 Gt. My first car. This one I coloured in orange but mine was purple. I dont have a purple faber castell marker pen.
When I turned 16 my dad asked me what car would I like. I replied instantly without a doubt nor hesitation, “I want a car exactly like Mr Bean’s”. My dad looked uncertain, “Are you sure that’s what you want?” I replied, “Yes. In Purple.” That was one of my favourite gifts. I have since sold Petunia my purple mini and I have never loved any other car since.

I learned to drive in a 60’s mini traveller – with wood, and moss growing in the felt window sliders – and drove many others and owned one as well, so they’ll always be the original and favourite. Good colour choice and like the picture of yours. 🙂

I know that feeling. My mum had a fiat too. The 550. Love that one too
