Today’s sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal are white Lilies for my mum. They are her favourite flowers.
Today is the 1st anniversary of my mum’s passing. It’s been a really difficult year for me but I know that she is happy in heaven with my dad. Keong hee huat chye mum and dad. I love you both always and you will always be in my heart ♡

Actually one of my favorite flowers because it reminds me of the Lord. Your mother is near to you always and her love will always be large part of you as it still shapes you today. You blossom always from the seeds of love that her spirit place within you. Here is one of my favorite poems. I believe it will make you smile my sister, it is called ‘Butterflies.’
Butterflies
Whenever I see the butterflies flying
I am reminded of your smiling face,
As I see them taking wing into the sky
I feel emotions which are never displaced
For in my heart also live the butterflies
As they come to life within me each day
While I count the different memories of you
Which in my thoughts and dreams will stay
The brightness of their many vibrant colors
Produce a vivid rainbow deep within my mind
Which fills my heart with such unwavering joy
Allowing me to enjoy them for an endless time
The butterflies will be my deepest treasure
Leaving me never again feeling the same
As the peace they bring cannot be measured
For on their wings are imprinted your name

Beautiful sketch and lovely tribute. I am sending the biggest hugs to you across the water. Maybe your mom and my mom have discovered each other up there, and they are bragging to everyone around about their awesome daughters?
