Sketch of the day in my art journal is tikoy which is glutinous sticky rice cakes which are traditionally eaten at chinese new year. They are made as offerings for the kitchen god so that when he reports back to the jade emperor in heaven his mouth will be stuck shut and he will be unable to say bad things about the people on earth.

What´s with women now a days…. I remember my grandma´s generation and my mothers generation they where the ones in the kitchen, that´s how I learned how to cook since my mother had me in there telling me to pay attention to what the hell she was putting on the pan. Eventually i did learn to cook more out of necessity rather because i liked it, but eventually after so many times me alone in the kitchen i actually do like to cook. But what´s up with “young” women now, 30 something and worst off are the 20 something´s they hate it and if they decide to cook i prefer to say some excuse and spend money in a restaurant rather than to eat some of that, it can poison me….
