Sketch of the day in my art journal is tikoy which is glutinous sticky rice cakes which are traditionally eaten at chinese new year. They are made as offerings for the kitchen god so that when he reports back to the jade emperor in heaven his mouth will be stuck shut and he will be unable to say bad things about the people on earth.

I like the kitchen God and the food to, but i dig the God, good to know she´s looking out for us humans so the other strange emperor doesn´t bad mouth us.
On a serious note, a very interesting custom.
