Chinese New Year is just round the corner and most people have shut down for the weekend, mentally if not literally. Today’s sketch of the day is the Taoist Chinese God of Wealth. He blesses us with money and good fortune 🙂
He’s the god of wealth and fortune. Another one brings good luck and the third brings good health and longevity. I guess judge dee is wearing a similar costume from the same period
He is dressed like Judge Ti (or Dee? Zhu Xiao Di? Chinese subtlety in pronounciation beats me) by Robert Van Gulik. You can google the drawings.
May this one bring you fortune (and happiness. Or is that another god?)
🙂

Wonderful. I have all three of them in my living room and family room. Great drawing.

Wow that sounds amazing! It’s on my bucket list. One day I will visit. Thank you 🙂
