Todays sketch of the day in my art journal is inspired by a nonya antique rug design with the quote home is where the heart is ♡
My mum was a collector of antiques in particular from the nonya heritage. Nonya is a localised version of chinese made objects to suit local taste. It would be the equivalent to European chinoiserie. Looking at the antiquea at home reminds me of my mum.
I miss you mum and dad. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.
