Last night was the official launch of artist Thomas Powell’s latest art exhibition at the Hin Bus Art Depot in Penang, Malaysia. The theme is from here to there. This collection of work follows Tom’s journey from the UK to Penang and shows the evolution of his life as he discovers and unravels more of the culture in Malaysia. Tom accidentally moved to the island of Penang 5 years ago. He was traveling with some friends around Asia and decided that Penang will be his new home.
Similarly international street artist Ernest Zacharevic shares a similar story. He stumbled upon Penang whilst traveling. Penang is lucky to have attracted talented young artists from all over the world.
