Yesterday evening was the Indigo fashion show for George Town Festival held at the historical Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, also known as the Blue Mansion. The show featured Southeast Asian fashion designers — Ong Shunmugam from Singapore, Nita Kenzo from Indonesia, Mae Teeta from Thailand and Khoon Hooi from Malaysia. The old chinese courtyard mansion provided a stunning a unique back drop to the fashion show.
The front row seats include Laurence Loh, award winning Heritage preservationist responsible for the restoration and Jimmy Choo the world famous designer, who is from Penang.

I figured as much. There seems to be like a national park on the North west corner?

You need to head towards the west side of the island out of town.

Writing and researching about Penang, plus all your posts really intrigue me. Tell me one thing. Before I “Google strolled” in Penang I assumed there would be lots of trees, but the streets I “roamed” with Felicity and Stéphanie and Sock and Tony et al, don’t seem to have many trees. mangos, banyans, etc. Should one go more towards Penang hill?
