Correct me if I am wrong but I think these are peonies painted on a happy yellow background. It is so cheery and summery. I love this one a lot.

Your mum made a beautiful collection of painted stools! I love how you have photographed them all against the same rug. I would have one of each arranged around our (yet-to-be-bought) dining table.
