What are typically Thai condiments. I think the Thais generally have a sweet tooth. There’s always a pot of sugar on the table and sweet chilli sauce. The other popular ones are fresh cut chilis in fish sauce, Maggi and soy sauce. The sketch above is the minimum requirement for a table. This is even before you order. Each table has a little basket of sauces, and when you order your meal, more will come with it! ;p

It’s a hot sauce made with a type of chili pepper: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piri_piri There are some variations regarding the other ingredients, but the chili seeds are always used.

The most common, I think, are salt, pepper, mustard sauce for bifanas (slices of fried marinated pork in white bread) and piri-piri with grilled chicken! 😀 Also, powdered cinnamon is very common as a topping on many desserts!
