My last day to complete one year’s worth of sketches. I wanted to end it with a bang but I think I have run out of steam! I set off on this challenge hoping that I would complete it, and wow, it’s been an incredible journey full of emotions, not just sketches.
I have to thank Marianna from FloatingLemons once again for setting me this challenge. I have grown as a person and as an artist. I know that if I put my mind to something, I can achieve it. I have found new confidence in myself and the discipline to draw everyday.
My art has made me new friends and has allowed me to do things I never thought I would. A new world of possibilities has opened up. As C.S Lewis said “You are never too old to dream a new dream”
Happy weekend everyone and dream a new dream! 🙂

Thank you! I wonder they used instead of banana leaves. Intriguing. I hope they didnt end up burning all those clothes ;p

I really love that lamp. You have a great talent for perspective that I struggle with in my sketches. I am intrigued by Monching’s comment: when my mom used a flat iron on our old wood-burning stove when I was young, we had no handy banana leaves in North America, ha ha! I’ll bet the old-timers had other tricks though, but I don’t recall any.
