Today I go back to my sketchbook. I often walk around Georgetown. There’s so much to see and many interesting details everywhere. This drawing is from an old shophouse in Georgetown, Penang selling medical supplies. It looks like nothing has changed in decades!
I just learnt from my cousin that ‘the mixed spices powder produced by that Medical Hall is very sought after. It’s one of the essential ingredients mixed with the filling of lor bak’ which is a famous Penang dish. I love learning new things about my hometown! š
