I’ve been painting, painting, painting. People often ask me what do I do. Recently, I tell them I’m an artist. (I’m moving away from the crazy bag lady, it’s becoming to be so last season!) The next question is what do you paint and what is your style? I giggle and answer, I paint animals and plants in a cartoon style because I am childish and still watch cartoons at my age. At this point, they move away when they realise I’m not a serious painter or artist. Such is the shallow world of art.
Well I like my art and that is the most important thing. It makes me happy. I just believe that if I don’t do the things that make me happy I will probably slide into depression and have a mental breakdown. But not yet, I’m still clinging on to positivity π

I don’t know if you can hear them outside the UK or not, but you might find Grayson Perryβs four 2013 Reith Lectures interesting. He discusses art and attitudes to it in his humourous style. Well worth a listen! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00729d9/episodes/guide#b00sj965
