I’ve been painting, painting, painting. People often ask me what do I do. Recently, I tell them I’m an artist. (I’m moving away from the crazy bag lady, it’s becoming to be so last season!) The next question is what do you paint and what is your style? I giggle and answer, I paint animals and plants in a cartoon style because I am childish and still watch cartoons at my age. At this point, they move away when they realise I’m not a serious painter or artist. Such is the shallow world of art.
Well I like my art and that is the most important thing. It makes me happy. I just believe that if I don’t do the things that make me happy I will probably slide into depression and have a mental breakdown. But not yet, I’m still clinging on to positivity 🙂

Another answer to the style question is in the style of Roy Lichtenstein. He painted in the style of comic books, and that guy’s in museums! I’m a big fan of your style and consider you an artist. And I thought that before you picked up painting. I’m certainly glad you picked up painting, too 🙂

All of us LOVE your artwork! (And, some of us are far from being kids.) Just explain it to *them* in snootier terms, and they’ll embrace you as a genius! — YUR
